Main Street
This family residence was built and designed to maximize the occupants views of the Lederderg State Park Ranges and surrounding Victorian Country farmland.
The contemporary design uses a combination of diverse materials blending natural and crisp textures with functional, light filled spaces.
The brief was to create a lightweight structure that seemed to float on the land.
The house was to have an open, contemporary, modular style layout; take advantage of the northern aspect; and use tones and colours which blended with environment.
Bacchus Marsh and Melton Regional Hospital Maternity Renovation
Due to an increasing demand for birthing amenities in the region, the hospital needed to extend whilst usual operations continued.
The client brief outlined that the renovations had to keep the original integrity of the building, with the existing building envelope and aim to keep the aesthetic of visual heritage.
Shane Cook Homes capitalised on the problematic topography to maximise the use of the land and the view.
The Dickie Street Custom Home site provided a challenge in that the land involved a steep descent away from the street. Consequently, the majority of the house is at street level but shares the airiness and aspect of a second storey.
